Long Description
VACUETTE® Blood Collection Tubes, originally developed by Greiner Bio-One as a safe alternative to glass blood collection tubes, offer a high-quality, reliable solution for the collection, transport and processing of blood in the clinical laboratory.
VACUETTE® tubes are made of highly transparent, virtually unbreakable PET plastic and evacuated according to volume specifications to ensure the correct blood-to-additive ratio. Liquid additives are spray-dried on the tubes' interiors to facilitate even disbursement and optimal mixing. Color-coded safety caps on each VACUETTE® tube are designed to minimize the spraying of aerosols during decapping and to aid in at-a-glance tube identification, with cap colors corresponding to additive types and ring colors indicating standard or low-volume draws or the presence of a gel separator. When used as part of the VACUETTE® Blood Collection System, VACUETTE® tubes deliver a reliable solution for easy and safe blood sample collection and processing.
