Catachem, Inc. is expanding its Oxford, CT facility from 3,500 sq. ft. to 7,000 sq. ft. in Q2 of 2025, reinforcing its commitment to advanced diagnostic reagent manufacturing, lyophilization services, and contract manufacturing. This expansion enhances its ability to meet growing customer demand, support larger production runs, and implement new capabilities in quality control, automation, and regulatory compliance.
With this expansion, Catachem enhances its manufacturing infrastructure, including:
  • Increased reagent production capacity, with batch sizes up to 240L per vessel to support custom formulations, OEM partnerships, and bulk reagent manufacturing.
  • Upgraded lyophilization capabilities, with MicroFD® and MAGNUM® Freeze Dryers for traditional, bulk, and bead lyophilization, optimizing reagent stabilization and shelf life.
  • Expanded quality control & regulatory compliance operations, supporting ISO 13485 and cGMP readiness to meet FDA, pharmaceutical, and biotech industry standards.
  • New cleanroom and aseptic processing areas, ensuring sterile reagent manufacturing.
  • Increased automation in filling, capping, crimping, and kitting, providing flexibility in small and large-scale production runs.
This expanded footprint will increase production efficiency and strengthen Catachem’s ability to develop, validate, and manufacture innovative diagnostic reagents and lyophilized solutions for clinical laboratories, research institutions, and government agencies. The expanded facility enhances Catachem’s ability to handle larger projects, reduce lead times, and uphold the standards expected by its partners.
