The PROTIA AST DL001 leverages a patented biosensor technology to measure electrical capacitance in real-time, providing a breakthrough approach to antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST).

Paired with the fully automated Q-AST 192 Pro system, this solution delivers accurate results in as little as 3.5 hours through an intuitive user interface and built-in smart algorithm.

How it works:
A sample is placed on a plate coated with specific antibiotics and incubated. Every 15 minutes, the system measures changes in electrical capacitance:

• If bacteria are resistant, they continue to grow, causing a measurable increase in capacitance.

• If susceptible, growth is inhibited, and capacitance remains stable.

All measurements are analyzed by the proprietary PROTIA AST algorithm embedded in the Q-AST 192 Pro, ensuring rapid and reliable interpretation without manual intervention.
