Biofortuna achieves ISO 14001 accreditation

We are delighted to announce that we are ISO 14001:2015 accredited! This internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems (EMS) reflects our ongoing commitment to minimising our environmental impact, reducing waste and promoting long-term sustainability across our operations.

The ISO 14001 framework supports organisations in managing their environmental responsibilities in an efficient way. For Biofortuna, this accreditation confirms that our operations are maintained according to global standards and marks a major milestone in our journey to sustainability.

Our EMS has quantifiable targets for energy consumption, waste reduction and carbon offsetting. These are supported by the addition of a 100kW solar panel system and the creation of a biodiversity initiative across our laboratory site. Additionally, our lyophilisation services help customers reduce cold chain emissions through the availability of temperature-stable product alternatives.
